Blogging is easy and rewarding

Monday, October 29th, 2007

There are plenty of ways to make money online, most of them legit and some just faintly stopping short this side of being a scam. For me, the easiest way to dabble in making moolah online is to go about it by blogging. Thousands of people all over the world have already jumped onto the bandwagon by getting paid to write sponsored posts or reviews. And if you think Malaysians can’t do it, let me point you to two pretty good examples: 5xMom and Kenny Sia.

First up, 5xMom aka Chan Lilian resides in Penang and is the mother of all moolah-making bloggers in Malaysia simply because she’s so darn successful at it. Don’t believe me? Click here to see how much moolah 5xMom made in one month. If that didn’t motivate you, I don’t know what will.

At the other end of the spectrum you have Kenny Sia, who gets invitations by the bucket load (or so it seems) to review and give away stuff or cover events like concerts as an official press blogger. He truly lives a jet-set life because of his blog.

Blogging is also the way I’m making my moolah so this is the way I’d recommend! But as always, none of these bloggers came by their success the easy way - although blogging is easy, they worked hard and became good at blogging to make their thousands. Will you do the same?

Making moolah online can be free, but it’ll cost you time

There’s a Chinese saying that says you have to have and spend moolah first in order to make more moolah. Well, thankfully you don’t have to do so in the online world as you can get many things for free, but you’ll have to be prepared to invest your time. A lot of time, especially if you want to make more than just a bit of moolah.

I personally spend many of my free-time hours weekly focusing on how to make more moolah online. It can take anywhere from an hour or more on weeknights to 3 - 4 hours on weekends. I find that this is a productive way of keeping myself occupied instead of frittering my time away on other, less profitable things. Right now, the additional income I get is equivalent to 25% of my monthly salary, which works out to roughly 3 months of bonus salary yearly. I’m aiming to increase this amount gradually to the point where my other income outstrips my regular salaried income so that I will be free to do whatever I want in life.

Sounds good so far? But a word of caution: as with all investments, you don’t get to see the fruits of your labour until say, about four months down the road. If you’re willing to invest your time for that period of time, then I say welcome to the club!

Because everyone needs more moolah

Dollars. Cents. Pounds. Pennies. Euros. Yen. Roubles. Pesos. Dinars. Rupiah. Ringgits. Sens. All these words refer to various types of currencies around the world. Simply put in the English language, it’s money, or as it will be more popularly known on this site - moolah.

I started this site for one purpose and one purpose only. To make more moolah. In whatever form I can find it, hence the blog’s title - All Currencies Accepted. Maybe I should have named the subdomain money, but I prefer biz because it has a wider meaning. And the tagline accurately reflects my thoughts - In Search Of The Art Of Making Moolah.

I’ll be posting about what I do in my quest for more moolah and I hope that you’ll find it informative, entertaining and helpful to you at the same time.

Here’s to all of us making all the moolah we’ll ever need!
